Violence Prevention
From playground bullying to domestic abuse, violence can affect anyone at any time.
Violence prevention is a key social determinant of health. The CHI Saint Joseph Hospital Foundations work tirelessly in the important work of preventing violence, as it supports our mission of compassionate care.
We encourage kindness within our own homes and workplaces. We partner with other organizations in the communities we serve. We help facilitate summer camps and activity packs for kids, parenting classes, mentoring and fatherhood programs. We teach classes on how to recognize and prevent human trafficking.
Creating Safer Neighborhoods is one program in particular designed to help prevent youth violence. The program funds homework help, among other activities.
When you participate in deescalating violence at every turn, you are practicing humankindness. With your help, our communities are becoming healthier and happier.
